A Look at the Promises of God

A Look at the Promises of God

“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the
everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of his understanding (29) He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have
no might, he increaseth strength. (30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men
shall utterly fall: (31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Isaiah
40:28-31

Last Sunday we began our study on the Eagle and the Spiritual symbolism
attached to concepts of Eagles in the air. They have such strength, courage, bravery and skill . . .
and how they can soar above the storms of life and the turbulence, and that you and I, too, have a
choice. We studied about the keen eyesight of the Eagle, also about the eating habits of the Eagle
and how finicky this bird is about what it eats (and how we should be careful as to how we fill our
bodies and minds). How we can, as the vulture does, fill its body with garbage and trash, but our
bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit.

What? know ye not that
your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your
own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which
are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

And we studied about how the nest is prepared, for comfort, for safety, free from other
prey.

“Then shalt thou walk in thy
way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou
shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”

Proverbs 3:23-24

Promises of God

And Jesus said unto them, “…If ye have
faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and
it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by
prayer and fasting.”

Matthew 17:20-21

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom
shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright:
Proverbs 10:29

God is our refuge and strength, a very present
help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1

We are trophies of His grace, redeemed by His blood.

We can sing songs of redemption that the angels cannot sing. They can’t
experience what we have.

Henceforth there is laid up for me, a crown
of righteousness . . . unto all them also that love his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:8

Jesus may come today.  In a twinkling of an eye – that’s 11/100 of a
second. Are we ready should He come today?
