Worship

Spread the love

God Is With Us

  • To Bow My Heart
  • To Offer God Verbal Praise
  • To Obey God’s Word, The Bible
  • To Serve, In Love, The King of kings

“Worship” isn’t something we plan. God planned it.

Worship happens when we come to know God and when we know Him, we will express our love to Him and for Him.  If we know Him like He wants to be known, worship will be the explosion that takes place in our soul, that cries for some kind of release to express to Him that love.

Love isn’t something that can be manufactured from the outside inward.  It doesn’t work that way.  It happens on the inside! Love can be expressed unto the Triune God:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit throughout the day and night.

God is with us in our blessings and in the difficult situations of life and for the Christian, He is with us in death.  When we face difficult situations, we need to meditate on the Presence of God who is available and ask for His wisdom in our needs.

God sees what we can become and not just what we are.  There would not be much hope for any of us if that were not true.

When God calls us to do something, to represent Him or His truth from His Word, and He makes known to us what He would have us do, He will be with us, to empower us in the process of fulfilling His will through us.

Paul made a passion for his life, following Jesus’ directives.  The book of Philippians was a letter written later  in his life and he was an older Christian and he had walked with the Lord for a very long time.  He is nearing the end of his life and he is expecting to die.   He’s writing about whether he’s going to live or die.  Part of him was wanting to stay because he felt the people needed him but he wanted to go be with Jesus; however, this is what motivated each morning.

Philippians 3:10

That I may know him, and power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.

Paul was saying that the thing that drives him onward in the latter stages of his life is that he might come to know God better and His Son, Jesus Christ.  When you read his letters, you see the passion in his heart constantly seeping out through the words he writes to all the churches.

When we die and stand before the Lord, will our translation be smooth because we already know God and His Divine mercy and have matured in the Lord and loved Him with all of our hearts?

Let’s determine in our hearts to know God better every day.  Knowing God will give us a whole new sense of purpose in our lives.

1 John 2:12, 13

12I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.  13I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning.  I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one.  I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

These Scriptures provide for us truth that maybe we have missed along the way.  John is writing here to some of his readers, and he’s giving them some illustrations about the importance of spiritual growth.

In the family of God, just like the human family, there are stages of growth and maturity.  Grow up, Christian! Apply the Word of God. Read it. Live it.

By reading God’s Word and applying its truth in our lives we become pleasing to God the Father.  Worship with all your soul!  Experience the goodness of God.

We have a Helper:  The Holy Spirit of God.  We have a Provider: God the Father

We have a Savior:  Jesus Christ, The Son of God.

Evaluate the “becauses” in these Scriptures in 1 John 2:12 and 13, above.

I write to you,

little children because…

I write to you,

fathers, because…

I write to you,

young men, because…

I write to you,

little children (again) because…

He’s calling!

He’s coming!

Keep serving, with passion, the true God!

Rescued, we are, as children of God, rescued from the “wages” of sin as we “serve” the living God by obeying His directives written for us and to us in the Bible, to be read, to be applied in our lives on a daily basis.

He’s calling.

He’s coming!

Keep serving and worshiping the true God, with passion!
